Raum Furniture is a place to find exceptionally designed custom furniture pieces that are that work with you in mind. Based out of Houston, Texas, we founded a business that will provide people with the type of furniture we’d like to have ourselves. Convenient to design, no weird assembly and something that doesn’t look like it needs to be ‘hacked’ to suit your style and your home. We use cutting edge manufacturing technologies along with the craftsmen’s mentality of “by hand and eye” to create curated pieces that are built to last a lifetime.

Consultation may include us visiting your site and determining how customers (or yourself) may use the space. After all, Raum is about how objects make up a space we’re comfortable in.

Creation starts at our shop in Houston. We have worked with almost every material, transforming raw stock into beautiful and functional pieces ready for years of use.

Concept
Concepts are sketched the old fashioned way – pencil on paper. We get inspiration from the world and sketch many ideas before the detailed shaping happens with the computer.
2.
Model
After a concept is generated each piece is CAD modeled in three dimensions. Materials are selected, final weight is considered and surface finishes are all chosen at this stage without wasting resources.
3.
Perfect
Each piece is meshed into thousands of nodes and analyzed for stresses and deflections. The design is perfected until we are satisfied that it will last. Guaranteed.
4.
Create
Each piece is crafted with CNC cutting tools and meticulously finished by hand. We touch every stick of wood and have the splinters to prove it. Also, yeah, we can weld that.
